Volunteer
I was raised with the philosophy that it is better to give than to receive.
Here are a few places that allowed me to volunteer:
-
New Eyes – Accepts, sorts, tests and recycles used glasses for distribution all over the world. My role was to identify glasses in good condition and prepare them to be distributed to children and adults in the poorest areas of the world.
-
Mobile Meals – Dedicated to fulfilling emptiness caused by hunger with FOOD, HELP, and HOPE. Each week assist with distributing food in the New Jersey communities to families in need.
-
Swim, Inc – Assist adults suffering from muscular impairments and senior citizens to obtain water based therapy. I serve as a Water Aerobic Instructor for the organization faciliting classes each week at the local YMCA.
-
Success Coach – Provide guidance to freshman college students who are the first in their family to attend college. I seek to ease the transition to college, to build a community and to provide a voice for first generation students.
